Next Saturday, July 13, is the 2nd annual Porkopolis Eggfest!
Ed Meiners from LaRosa’s is the organizer, and it looks to be another great event! There are even still tickets to Friday’s pre-event dinner for $25/person. It looks to be a great weekend with lots of fantastic food.
If you’re in the Cincinnati area, there are spots left for tasters, too. That means you get to go and taste samples of all kinds of great Big Green Egg food. The location is Germania Park, and that means beer will be available, too!
I’ll be doing a demo at some point during the day. The theme is grilled desserts and cocktails. I’ll be doing bourbon-macerated berries on grilled pound cake, dulche de leche bananas in the peel and grilled peach bourbon iced tea! Come down to see how to make that, as well as lots of other great food
I’ve got to make it to that Eggfest one year, it just hasn’t panned out the past two years.

My egg usage has been limited to meats and the occasional pizza; desert never even occurred to me. Sounds intriguing and delicious. Would love to see pix (your pictures on the site are beautiful) and recipes.
Drew, if you look around the site, do some searches, there’s quite a bit non-meat stuff, from breads to apple pies! Thanks for visiting.
