It’s fall in all it’s glory in Ohio, and it’s gorgeous.  I took the chance I got the other day to get some shots of a local barn where tobacco is drying.

Just to get caught up, I’m finishing up some reviews this week, which will include:

  • Blues BBQ North Carolina Pepper and Habenero Reserve sauces
  • Big Z’s Sweet Gold BBQ & Dipping Sauce
  • POM Wonderful Pomegranate
  • Butterball’s professional level Indoor Turkey Fryer
  • Crystal Head Vodka
  • and Dalmore Single Malt Scotch Whiskies!

So I’ve been busy!  The reviews will be posted over the next week, so watch my Reviews section.

I have started up a new venture, too, which you can get to using the menu at the top of the page. Livefire Photography is the photography arm of Livefire, coming to a restaurant web page near you (via the Internet, of course) soon!

Also, I’m getting info ready for Thanksgiving, which will be here in no time, and I’ll be posting info on a bit tailgate party at my church for the game when Ohio State stomps that school up north… again.

In the meantime, a local high-end market has done me a real disservice in my quest to get slimmer… Dorothy Lane Market is now carrying Jeni’s Ice Creams!  I can’t take it!  They already had killer brownies, but they now have the best ice cream on the planet.  I had to pick some up last weekend; I got my favorite combo of Black Coffee and Salty Caramel.

I’m ashamed to admit it, but I love this stuff so much that I actually picked up a scoop I dropped on the floor, rinsed it off quickly, and still ate it.  I know, I should never admit that, but I did it, and, if you’ve never had Jeni’s Ice Cream, don’t judge me.

Thanks for sharing. What lovely photos!

  2. Curt says:

    Ninette,

I’m glad you enjoyed them, and thanks… It means a lot coming from someone that is much better with a camera than I am!

  3. Karen says:

My husband’s family lives in Columbus and we make a point to stop at Jeni’s Ice Cream every time we’re in town. I can’t get enough of their Salty Caramel. Yum!

  4. Chris says:

I really like the weathered barn shots. The aged paint creates so much texture.

  5. Curt says:

    Karen,

They’re always coming out with new stuff, too. Jeni’s does an amazing job, I think.

  6. Curt says:

    Chris,

Thanks. I’ve driven by that barn a lot, but had to finally stop and take some photos.

  7. What beautiful photographs Curt! That icecream looks mouth wateringly good, wish we could get it here in Australia.

  8. Curt says:

    HB,

Thanks! Jeni’s is from about 90 miles away from me, which was just far enough to have it a few times a year. Now, it’s right in the market where I shop a lot… it just became very dangerous! :)
