It’s been over three years of blogging now, with Bucky’s Barbecue Blog becoming Bucky’s Barbecue & Bread. This week brings on the next step, as Bucky’s Barbecue & Bread gets transformed into Livefire!
Why the change? Several reasons, really.
- I got tired of people calling me “Bucky”. The blog name came from the competition barbecue team of Bucky McOinkum’s Barbecue, and, until we got our cat last year, there wasn’t any Bucky.
- It’s difficult to give people the blog address with “buckymcoinkumsbbq” as part of it. So it was a bad choice for a blog address.
- Livefire is a better name that’s much easier to remember.
- Livefire doesn’t imply that this is mostly a barbecue site. While I will remain a barbecuer, a look around the blog will show that Livefire is more about all outdoor cooking than just barbecuing.
During the switch, I wanted to say how much I appreciate all my readers, and I hope you all find Livefire to keep providing good food and photos.
