I’ve got an event that I’m hosting in a couple of weeks that should be a lot of fun. It’s the Sausage Showdown 2009!
What is this event? It’s a bracketed sausage tournment! Think of college basketball.
A local sausage maker, Kroeger & Sons (not Kroger) makes all kinds of sausages, and I’ll be getting 32 varieties. The sausages will be paired up head to head, and participants will taste each pairing to determine the winner of each head to head.
The winners of each pairing will move to the next round, where we’ll do it all over again! This will continue (the tasting of freshly grilled sausages) until a final winner is crowned as Sausage Showdown 2009 Champion!
The event will be held at Caesars Creek State Park near Waynesville, Ohio. If you’re interested in having a part in determining the sausage winner, contact me! The cost is only $10 per person, with lots of room for lots of people!

so is this a competition between sausages or the eating of sausages?
Good question.. it will NOT be a competition of how much sausage each person can eat, but which sausage is deemed best.

Good question… I had to postpone this, unfortunately (and luckily, as it stormed that day anyway!) It will be upcoming in the next month or so.
