I’ve recently relaunched the Bucky McOinkum’s website, at www.buckymcoinkumsbbq.com.
There’s, of course, a link to my blog here, but I’ve also listed a history of competitions in which we’ve competed as well as a variety of options for personal chef services.
I put a link there to Cook’s Wares, a local kitchen store. We’ll be doing a class there on September 18 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The class will be on tailgating, with some info on barbecue in general and barbecue competitions. Weather permitting, and landlord permitting, we’ll set up a little competition site with an EZ up and our smoker to show people a bit of what a comp site might look like.
The menu will be tailgating items:
- Pulled Pork
- Ribs
- Beans
- Fatties/Armadillo Eggs
- Cole Slaw
- ABTs
I can’t wait to do the class; it’s going to be a lot of fun, and just in time for the heart of football tailgating!
I will also be providing personal chef services for at least one Bengals game this season, which should be a blast to do!
Take a look at the new site when you get a chance and let me know what you think. The photos are a bit too large and load slowly, but I’ll be fixing that soon. I’m also working on doing something a bit more dynamic; if anyone wants to help out building a php site, let me know!

Curt,
Website looks wonderful. Especially the page on the personal chef. All the pics look wonderful and should get you some business. I would attend the tailgate class but I will be in Iowa on a business trip. Maybe the next one. I would have loved to learn from the master in time for some OSU Big Ten smash mouth football. We are almost there I can hardly wait. I bet Woody is foaming at the mouth waiting to watch a game with you.
Go Bucks!!!
Todd
Todd,
Thanks for the feedback. On the class, I don’t think I’d call myself a ‘master’.
But it should be a lot of fun, and we’ll have everything decked out in OSU stuff for the class… as if there are any other football teams worth the effort!
Remember… Woody Hayes is alive and well… and his name is Jim Tressle!
